This is what defines you, for better or worse

Sep 22, 2023

How you think about yourself in life after loss is key to healing. What are your thoughts about you?

  • Do you think you’re doing it wrong?
  • That you should be further along by now?
  • That you can never forgive yourself?
  • That you don’t deserve to be happy?

Paulo Coelho is quoted as saying, “You are what you believe yourself to be.” In the past, present and future, you are defined only by how you think about yourself.

Your thoughts either limit you or propel you. They can lead to self-judgement and disgust or curiosity and growth.

Your thoughts reveal whether you love yourself or feel unworthy of love.

That we are defined by our thoughts about ourselves is very good news, because thoughts are always 100% optional.

How would you describe yourself now? How would you tell your life story?

And what is the story you want to tell about yourself? There aren’t any limits to who you want to be. You don’t have to consider anyone else’s opinions, or your past or current abilities.

New thoughts lead to new feelings, which drive different actions, which create different results. It all starts with a thought.

And the best way to explore new thoughts about you is to ask yourself, “What would love say?”

Inside of Life Reconstructed, my coaching program exclusively for widowed people, you will decide how you want to think about yourself, and then you’ll watch those thoughts shape your future. I hope you’ll join us. Simply click below to learn more.
