Is it time to move?

Apr 07, 2023

You heeded the warning and didn’t make any big decisions in the first year. But now you wonder whether to move. Which sends you into a spiral of thoughts and feelings that result in overwhelm and indecision.

It may sound like:

I’ll have to deal with his things, which will feel like letting him go.

I will have to do it all by myself.

I’ll have to make a significant and irreversible decision, alone.

What if I make the wrong decision?

Our memories are here.

Decisions like this put you face to face with a painful reality: the future you had planned is no more. That alone can send you back to indecision.

And indecision is painful, too.

The truth is that there is no right or wrong decision. Every option has its own set of pros and cons. You’re simply choosing which set of pros and cons you think is best for you.

And no matter what you choose, following through on that decision likely means feeling a variety of uncomfortable feelings.

But none compare to the day he passed, or to the weeks and months that followed.

You did that, and you can do this, too.

Making decisions in life after loss is a skill you’ll learn inside of my Life Reconstructed coaching program exclusively for widowed people. And that’s just one skill of many that will help you create a life you’ll love again.
